Gabby’s Going

Blogged under Ferrets by Mary on Wednesday 16 November 2005 at 11:34 am

Gabby hasn’t been doing well for the last week. We’ve mostly been trying to keep her comfortable.

Last night Eric went to feed her and she was totally nonresponsive. I fully expected her to leave us during the night. But she’s still hanging on. It’s only a matter of hours now.

We have her wrapped up in her favorite fleece blanket from our bed. She’s warm and comfy.

We’ll soon be ferretless for the first time since 1992. :(

    Dear Mary & Eric,
I am so sorry to hear about gabby. I have missed much of the ferret news both good and bad in the last few years. It’s so hard to watch them go. Our Willy is about 9 years old and he started haveing minor strokes about 2 weeks ago. The thought of being ferretless is terrifying.

Hi Mary, I just found your site, and by looking at the dates there hasen’t been anything written in 2006. I hope all is well and the blog is still active. Actually this is the first blog I’ve ever written to or read for that matter. Before I rattle on could you send me up a flare so I know your out there? Thanks, Jim
